John has been our Church leader since November 2020, having stepped up from his long-standing role as Elder since the retirement of Pastors Derrick & Ann Wilks. In his time at Leigh Elim (over 30 years) John has seen a lot of changes. But the biggest change is seeing peoples lives impacted in their relationship with God.
You will often find John behind a drum kit or helping man the sound desk, as well as preaching and supporting our church family! In addition to pastoral care, John now oversees the Little Treasures Day Nursery at based at Westcliff Elim's church building. |

Phil is our church Elder, supporting Pastor John and our church family. He has always had a heart for serving the youth and kids in our church family as well as connecting with our wider community through local and church events.
He is also involved with many other aspects of church life, including helping with our sound desk and preaching on a Sunday morning, whilst developing his ministry. Phil recently graduated with a Ministry Foundation Certificate from Regents Bible College and is looking to begin the journey as a Minister in Training.

Iréne, as well as being wife to John, heads up our worship team within the church. As part of this, she has led music workshops for budding musicians, and gets involved with organising worship for external events.
Iréne is a keen prayer warrior, and also loves crafts and making cards, as you will probably soon realise when attending Leigh Elim. |

Maria is our church secretary and administrator. It doesn’t stop there though. Maria is part of our worship team, plays guitar, sings and is part of a local choir. She supports her husband Phil in leading the kids once a month, as well a preaching on occasions too! Maria and Phil have two children, Bethlyn and Thomas.
Maria loves finding new ways to serve God and encourage our young people and families.

Pauline has been dedicated to the work of our children's ministry for a long time and continues to encourage our children to grow in their knowledge of the Lord.
She has also been part of our mission trips to Estonia and has recently been accepted to join Elim's Missions Academy.
We look forward to seeing how the Lord plans to continue to use Pauline to extend His Kingdom |

Kat has been a vital addition to our team since we merged with Westcliff Elim Church, and helps oversee and lead our Tech and PA.
It is her service to the team that helps worship run smoothly on a Sunday morning. A lot goes on behind the scenes to prepare the sound and visuals needs to help a service happen. All this whilst raising her 3 children,
Kat is a real blessing to our church family! |

Another asset from our Westcliff Elim family, Tembi has such a servant heart for people within our church. She knows how to get behind people in times of need, talk to newcomers and be a encouragement on a Sunday morning.
